Enabling adults with Developmental Disabilities to fully participate in their communities
BIP provides Compensatory Education classes in Language Arts, Math, Health, Social Studies, Community Living, and Vocational Education. Instruction includes independent living skills and utilizes the BIP’s apartment complex.
BIP provides Case Management services.
Students are employed on transitional crews: grounds, custodial, and the Cook’s Nook cafeteria on the BCC Campus.
Students learn about Intro to Customer Service and sales in the Beach Charms & Trinkets Gift Shop located behind Building E, beside the BIP greenhouse.
Transportation is provided daily to BCC’s Main Campus and classes are scheduled 8:30 am until 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. Transportation is provided for a minimal fee.
Classes are provided free to North Carolina adults with developmental disabilities.
