Courses are designed to meet the needs of local EMS agencies, healthcare providers, and the public with emphasis on emergency patient care in traditional pre-hospital and nontraditional environments. Emergency Medical Science (EMT) courses are also designed to assist individuals desiring employment or retraining in health institutions or related fields.

• FireFighter Academy – Consecutive offering of all classes required to become a NC certified Firefighter. June 15 through August 13 at Grissetown FD.
• EMS 3074 – Education Methodology (Online) July 1- Sept9
This course is designed to prepare the student to teach adults and to understand the adult learner. Participants will learn how to prepare teaching outlines and organize practical skills. This course is required for certification as an NC Certified EMT Instructor. This is an 8 weeks course. Offered Completely Online beginning July 01, 2015 (Registration Opens June, 2015. Fax Registrations to 910-755-7411) You must be a state certified EMT or above to take this class.
EMT Basic Initial Class
This is the initial EMT class and prepares students to sit for the state EMT credential exam. Class starts on August 11,2015 at 1800 at the Grissettown Fire Department.
