Do I have to attend?
Orientation, Advising, and Registration is required for all new incoming freshmen. OAR will be an opportunity that you do not want to miss. This program is designed to connect you to BCC faculty, staff, and students.
Do I need to RSVP for OAR?
Do my parents or guardians need to register for OAR?
No. Simply include your parents or guardians in your total when making your reservation.
I registered for a date that I can no longer attend. What do I do?

What will I do at OAR?
Learn about academic programs, resources, and opportunities that are available at BCC, tour the campus, meet with an advisor, and register for classes.
How long will OAR last?
OAR will begin at 8:30 AM and end with a lunch of Subway® sandwiches at noon. The evening session on July 29th will begin at 5:30 p.m. and conclude by 9:00 p.m.
Can parents and/or family members (children) attend OAR?
We encourage parents and/or spouses to attend; however, we do not have child care.
Must my tuition and fees be paid before I can attend the OAR session?
No; however, payments are due by August 8, 2014 at 12 p.m.
Where can I find out more about my financial aid?
Click here to learn more about Financial Aid. There are documents that you will need to complete for financial aid (such as FAFSA). You may login to your WebAdvisor account for more Financial Aid information.
Where will I park when I arrive for OAR?
You may park in any lots reserved for Student Parking. However, we suggest you park beside Odell Williamson Auditorium since the day begins in the auditorium.
Where will OAR be held?
OAR will begin in the Odell Williamson Auditorium.
How much will OAR cost me?
There is no cost to you.
Will I meet with my advisor during my specified OAR session?
You will meet an advisor who is knowledgeable in your program area.
What if I am studying as a distance learner?
There will be an online OAR for distance learners.
What if I need special assistance with registration or orientation because of a disability?
A member of counseling staff will be available to assist you. You will also need to register with our Disabilities Office, so that we may provide the services you need.
