April 26, 2022 — It was a day fit for a feast as Brunswick Community College (BCC) honored the first five graduates of its new Culinary Arts Program. Held in the Douglas Terhune Center for Culinary Arts and officiated by BCC President Dr. Gene Smith, the ceremony was bittersweet as instructors bid farewell to their inaugural class.Students heard from Program Director Lisa Schultz, Vice President of Continuing Education & Workforce Development, Greg Bland, and graduate Joshua Rhue. They also enjoyed a special remote appearance by BCC Trustee Douglas Terhune.Instructor Tammie Mullis joined President Smith in presenting certificates to Jonathan Babirak, Jamal K. Davidson, Victor H. Garcia, Jr., Joshua R. Higgins, and Joshua I. Rhue.The ceremony also included the presentation of the brand new Bella Cucina Scholarship. It was awarded to Joshua R.
