BCC Inducts 17 Honor Society Members

April 26, 2022 — With candles lit, banners displayed, and families, friends, and instructors present, BCC President Dr. Gene Smith officiated the induction of 17 candidates to two prestigious honor societies.

First was the National Technical Honor Society. This year’s inductees included Allyson Bullard, Alec Evachek, Rachel Lauka, Katherine Puckett, Lindsey Ragon, and Robert Walther.

The second part of the ceremony featured the induction of the 2022 members of the Beta Eta Lambda Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Inductees included Christian Cabrera, Allyson Duranceau, William Gibbs, Emily Hicks, Haylee Johnson, Cynthia Morrison, Victoria Neal, Gavin Pettibone, Tyler Vogt, Allyssa Winegar, and Madison Yousey.

While the ceremonies followed the unique traditions of each honor society, everyone enjoyed congratulatory remarks from President Smith; Kevin Lee, Vice President of Academic Affairs & Chief Academic Officer; and Paul S. Mills, Jr., Interim Chair-Social Sciences and Humanities Department.
