BCC Trustees Swear in New Member

BOLIVIA, NC – The newest member of Brunswick Community College Board of Trustees was sworn in Thursday, August 15th at the regularly scheduled monthly meeting.

Judge Pauline Hankins administered the Oath of Office to new Trustee Ronnie Jenkins. The North Carolina Governor’s Office appointed Mr. Jenkins for a four-year term. His wife, Velva, accompanied him during the oath.

Jenkins, a lifelong resident of Brunswick County, attended North Carolina A&T, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Social Studies.   He later supplemented his education by earning a Master of Administration and Supervision degree through coursework at Fayetteville State University.

Board of Trustees Chair, Alan Holden, administered the Oath of Office to those receiving reappointments to the Board. Representative Frank Iler has been reappointed by the Brunswick County Board of Education and the Brunswick County Board of Commissioners has reappointed Dr. Gene Steadman, Jr.
