Beautiful Brunswick County is home to an expanding community of studio-based, creative artisans — reflecting the role of the arts, entertainment and tourism in the economic development of North Carolina. Trending increasingly towards the arts over the last four decades, quaint coastal Southport supports your creativity. It is an exhilarating time and we invite you to join us for arts and crafts classes at the Brunswick Community College Southport Center.
Southport Center provides studio-based classes in the arts and cultural heritage for lifelong learners, small business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Here, makers of all ages and skill levels can experience the pure joy of creative development amid the fellowship of productive peers. We welcome all who are compelled to create to be a part of the process.
Tradition at Southport Center
In the tradition of arts and crafts training throughout history, you can progress from beginner, intermediate, to expert in programs including pottery, painting, glass, jewelry, fabric arts, wood, creative writing, and music. At Southport Center, you will enjoy stimulating teaching and learning, a robust creative community and classes, and access to Professional Craft Artist Certification.
