ENG 131 – Introduction to Literature

Prerequisites: ENG 111 Corequisites: ENG 112 or ENG 114

This course introduces the principal genres of literature. Emphasis is placed on literary terminology, devices, structure, and interpretation. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze and respond to literature. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA and ICAA as a general education course in Humanities & Fine Arts for the AA & AS degrees.
