LAMB Foundation of NC Delivers Valentine’s Day Surprise for BIP

LAMB Foundation Check PresentationThe Brunswick Interagency Program (BIP) received a heartfelt gift on Valentine’s Day morning from the LAMB Foundation of NC. Skip Dull, LAMB Director for Our Lady of the Rosary Council 9039 in Sunset Beach, NC, presented a check for $3,000 to The Foundation of BCC in support of BIP.

The LAMB Foundation of NC is an outgrowth of Operation LAMB that started in 1960 at the local Knights of Columbus council of William “Bill” Scott. LAMB stands for Least Among My Brothers. Today, the Foundation is a public 501(c)3 nonprofit charity dedicated solely to assisting people with intellectual disabilities in North Carolina.

“We are grateful to the LAMB Foundation and Knights of Columbus for their continued support and generosity,” said Teresa Nelson, Executive Director of The Foundation of BCC. “It is through efforts from organizations like these that enable BIP to meet the needs of the 120 students served daily.”

Since 1985, the Brunswick Community College Interagency Program (BIP) has served adults diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The program’s mission is to enable students to reach their full potential, become more independent, and fully participate in their communities. The program’s services include adult basic education, supported employment and job coaching, and day support. Brunswick Interagency Program (BIP) continues to be nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation, providing a strong framework for managing resources, student engagement, and continuous improvement.
