Meet Dan Stone, BCC’s Veterans Mentor
August 25, 2022 — If you are a veteran attending or planning to attend BCC, you need to meet Dan Stone. Dan is the college’s Veterans Mentor. After a 30-year career in the United States Army, Dan has successfully transitioned to civilian life and works at BCC as a TLC Specialist. In addition to tutoring students, he mentors student ambassadors and veteran students. He also serves as an instructor teaching ACA, BCC’s college success course.
Dan’s office is in TLC, adjacent to the library in the Administration Building on the college’s main campus. You can reach him at StoneD@Brunswickcc.edu or by calling 910-755-7334. We encourage you to contact Dan and ask him about the many programs and benefits available for veterans at BCC. These include a complete network of resources, support, and advocacy. Whether on active duty taking a course, or transitioning to a civilian career, BCC’s Student Services professionals are here to help. We offer career coaches, VA benefits and financial aid assistance, work-study opportunities, and more.
We welcome you and your family to BCC, thank you for your service, and look forward to your continued success.
