Proud to Serve Those Who Serve

Two students from BCC at a Veterans Day celebrationBrunswick Community College (BCC) is proud to serve active duty and veteran students, employees, and their families. The college provides a full network of resources, support, and advocacy. Whether you are active duty and taking a course, or transitioning to a civilian career, BCC’s Student Services professionals are here to help. We offer career coaches, assistance with VA benefits and financial aid, work-study opportunities, and more.

Marine veteran and first-year BCC student, Andrew Burgmuller (pictured), recently contacted Misty-Star Vining (pictured), BCC’s Veteran Resource Assistant. “She is a veteran and was extremely helpful, especially when it came to understanding what the GI Bill offers that’s outside the box of traditional education,” said Andrew. “It’s more complicated than you think and easy to miss out on opportunities if you don’t ask. She also introduced me to The Learning Center (TLC). I used it a lot early on and am now serving as a work-study student helping others with their studies. I’m grateful for the support I’ve received, especially from the many BCC staff members who are also veterans.”
