BLET Graduates Earn 100 Percent Pass Rate

April 20, 2022 — The 65th Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) class at Brunswick Community College (BCC) graduated on Tuesday, April 19, at Odell Williamson Auditorium. This class of nine achieved an impressive 100 percent pass rate on the final exam to earn their Basic Law Enforcement Training certificates.Eric Holloman, Dean of Professional & Technical Programs at BCC, was officiating the ceremony, joined by Lt. Obbie Blanton, BLET Director; Dr. Gene Smith, BCC President; and guest speaker, District Attorney Jon David. Also present were instructors, family, friends, and dozens of officers representing the sponsoring agencies.The ceremony was inspiring and moving and included the presentation of certificates, several awards, and remarks from class president Joseph Cappuccilli.Graduates include Israel Andres, Mason J. Byrd, Joseph Cappuccilli, Jason A. Clemente, Harrison S. Hart, McGill Howard, Andrew W. Nichter, Todd M. Osborne, and Matthew R. Phelps. See below for the event program and photo highlights.
