Lynes Family Donates $10,000 for Student Scholarships

When it comes to people who give of themselves for the good of others, Dan and Linda Lynes exemplify the best of the best, demonstrated by their longtime support of students at Brunswick Community College. During a recent campus visit, Mr. & Mrs. Lynes presented BCC President Gene Smith with a check for $10,000 to the BCC Foundation in support of an endowed scholarship.

Established in 2012, the Dan and Linda Lynes endowed scholarship has assisted BCC students like Samuel Cahenzli achieve their educational goals. Cahenzli, a BCC Student Ambassador, visited with the Lynes, sharing his experiences, and expressing gratitude for their generosity and continued support.

“BCC is fortunate to have the support of so many individuals, families, and organizations enabling us to achieve our mission of helping individuals achieve success through high-quality education, programs, and services,” said President Smith. “We are incredibly grateful to the Lynes family and remain committed to not only meeting but exceeding the needs of our students and the diverse community we serve.”
