BCC Celebrates Culinary Graduates

They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home. That was certainly the case at BCC this week as we celebrated some of the people who make that so. Eighteen students graduated from culinary courses, including Culinary Foundations, Culinary Edge, and Baking and Pastries.

Students, families, friends, and BCC faculty and staff heard from BCC President Gene Smith, graduate Armando Telix, Instructors Erin Clarke and Lauren McCoy, and Dean of Continuing Education & Workforce Development Onya Gardner.

Culinary Foundations graduates included Silvia Galarza Urieta, Kassandra Cabrera, Zephaniah Emanuel, Armando Telix, Olivia Lopez, and Wilmer Garcia-Perez. Culinary Edge graduates included Brad Carlson, Buford Taylor, Chataya Haggins, Karla Teran, and Stephen Dalton Thomas. Our very first Baking and Pastries graduates included Kassi Pena Gomez, Karla Teran, Kolby Carpenter, Augustin Lara, Esther Dominguez, Jose Velasquez, and Jazmin Pena.
