BCC Celebrates Seventh Class of Lineworker Graduates

lineworker graduates

Next session begins May 6.

Congratulations, Lineworkers! BCC’s most recent lineworker students graduated yesterday and will soon begin their new careers. Over the last ten weeks, they participated in 400 hours of instruction, earning over 16 industry-recognized certifications and CDL permits in this pre-apprenticeship program.

Congratulations to Joshua Alanis, Matthew Barnes, Shane Austin Barton, Jack A. Couch, Jeffery Cribb, Caiden T. Gaumond, Luke Insley, Landon C. Lewis, Luis F. Resendez-Sanchez, Nathan E. Tatum, and Allison Wescott. Graduation also included the heartfelt presentation of the Colby Haithcock Memorial Scholarship to Shane Austin Barton. This $500 scholarship is in memory of Colby, a young man who dreamed of being a lineworker. Colby’s stepfather, David Anderson, presented the award.

We extend our gratitude to Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation for their unwavering support in making this course possible. Your partnership is invaluable, and we are deeply appreciative of your contribution to the lineworker community.

If you think a career as a Lineworker may be for you, contact us ASAP. A few slots are open in the next session beginning on May 6. To learn more, call (910) 755-7320 or email onestop@brunswickcc.edu today! For more event photos, see the album on the BCC Facebook Page
