LAMB Foundation Boosts BIP with Generous Donation

LAMB Foundation Reps present donation to The Foundation of BCC in support of BIP

The Brunswick Interagency Program (BIP) recently received a significant contribution from the LAMB Foundation of NC. Skip Dull, LAMB Director for Our Lady of the Rosary Council 9039 in Sunset Beach, NC, presented a generous $5,000 donation to The Foundation of Brunswick Community College (BCC) to support BIP’s initiatives.

The LAMB Foundation of NC traces its roots back to Operation LAMB’s inception in 1960 by William “Bill” Scott at a local Knights of Columbus council. Standing for “Least Among My Brothers,” the Foundation has evolved into a distinguished 501(c)3 nonprofit charity committed exclusively to aiding individuals with intellectual disabilities across North Carolina.

Expressing gratitude for the LAMB Foundation’s unwavering support, Teresa Nelson, Executive Director of The Foundation of BCC, remarked, “We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the LAMB Foundation and the Knights of Columbus for their continued generosity. Their contribution is instrumental in enabling BIP to fulfill its mission.”

Since its establishment in 1985, BIP has empowered adults diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities. BIP’s core objective is to facilitate students’ holistic development, fostering independence and active community participation. The program offers adult basic education, supported employment, job coaching, and day support. BIP’s commitment to excellence is underscored by its national accreditation from the Council on Accreditation, affirming its steadfast dedication to resource management, student engagement, and continuous enhancement.

The generous contribution from the LAMB Foundation of NC reaffirms the collaborative spirit driving initiatives like BIP, showcasing a collective commitment to fostering inclusivity and empowerment within our communities.
