Academic Support

The Academic Support Department serves to engage students through a series of programs and services designed to assist in the College. Our goal is to build trusting relationships with students, faculty, and staff to increase the utilization of campus services through deliberate and intentional interactions between students and the campus community. We provide ongoing outreach services and address challenges and barriers that interfere with academic progress to address the issue as soon as it arises rather than waiting until it negatively impacts the student’s success. Our services include: first year experience, new student orientation, success coaching and advising, college readiness, mentoring, personal and career counseling, academic success, and study skills (courses and workshops), professional tutoring, reading and writing assistance, and general technology assistance. Academic Support is located in Building A, Room 125.
